My 10K A Week Challenge Fell Though, But I Still Think It Was Successful! Also Happy Halloween!

Week 4 of my write 10k words in a week challenge is next to non existent as I'm recovering from dental surgery that I had on Monday, after a very busy but very fun family event over the weekend. So why was my self induced challenge still a success for me?
Because I have:
Increased my word count in my draft
Finally getting the scenes in my head on paper
Helped me build a pattern of getting into writing again (for now)
And provided an inspirational bread crumb trail for a solid plot for book 2 - which was the original goal.
So yeah, while the challenge kind of fell off the rails, it did what I was hoping it would.

Now this leaves room for celebrating Halloween (Samhain to my Pagan friends) and cuddling up on the couch with some chocolate and a fall vibe movie. I miss giving kids in costumes candy at the door, but my neighborhood doesn't really do that now. Hopefully when we move, my husband and I will be able to decorate more, and give out candy to kids in costumes in our next neighborhood while having a bonfire in our driveway.
And while this year, as the veil between the spirt world and this one is thinner than the rest of the year, as the jack-o-laterns are put away, the spooky stories subside and the trees let go of the rest of the leaves they have and the air turns colder, we all prepare for the actual scariest because it's stressful time of year.......
