Back Into the "-Ber" months! Too bad the weather hasn't caught up here yet.

With the unintentional symbiotical I took over the summer to look for a new full time job and focus on my writing, one would think that I am refreshed and motivated to "get back at it" or "hit the ground running" or even dare I say "relax."

None of that happened.

And it's still really hot and humid here.

I have not worked on Book 2, I have not made any marketing promo plans, I have not posted on the socials or even found a full time job yet. Hope is not exactly lost on me....I just can't seem to find it when it comes to the job market right now.

My summer overall has been pretty good all things considered.

I have picked up running as a hobby again as I think working up to ha half marathon one day would be cool. It's more like just jogging as fast as I can with lots of walking breaks - I have a suspicion that I jog slower than I walk - but I can't exactly prove it. I am on week 5 of a 6 week "getting back into running" schedule and while I believe I have improved greatly and have enjoyed the forest serenity in the morning, Shinrin-yoku or "forest bathing" I think is the term.I have also come out with a new scar on my leg from when I tripped on the gravel pedestrian tail and just yesterday, a wasp stung my thigh half way through my run leaving a welt the size of Mongolia on my leg. Despite nature trying to test my discouragement I still plan on finishing the schedule.....and then start a new one.

I have decluttered most of my apartment thanks, to a blonde Canadian Lady by the name of Cas (Cas from Clutterbug) who has many a videos and podcasts on her channel (link here) where she even has (no email required) free quiz to see what type of clutter bug you mainly are (Cricket, Bee, Ladybug, or Butterfly) - I am a mainly Cricket and my husband is mainly a Bee - which can work really well together. But there still some boxes in the hallway that need to be gone through, I just haven't gotten around to it - that will be what they call a "later problem".

And of course a collection of small family and friend adventures like weddings, graduations and two baby showers. Not without it's drama of course. But as the northern hemisphere eventually begins its way to the second harvest festival of Mabon (Sept 20-22, 2025) I too have to plan for the up coming "-Ber" months with my own writing plan.

Stay tuned for my next blog where I will go into more detail about what my writing goals are for September. I still have a full week before it's completely in swing.
